Ahh, thank you my dear. That and claiming to listen to "real goth" music are my biggest pet peeves and don't impress me much. I prefer that people people just show it instead of telling me.

Thanks for that, Meth.
dreamydancer-Just to clarify, only reason anyone is stating their maturity level is because that is what this thread is about, age, and some of us do not feel that we are mentally, emotionally, or physically represent the age we truly are. If you are as mature as you say, it will be shown in other places.

17. Turning 18 in May and I'm going to a good concert! I wanted to see The Misfits this summer but it was an 18 plus show. Not much to miss, Jerry isn't as good as Danzig was.

16, 17 in May, =p And your not missing much with Danzig missing. Saw them at the key club a long time ago when I was into punk, and Jerry just will never replace Danzig. His voice isn't as powerful.

Much agreed. The one thing I find funny about the Misfits is that in most of their stuff, you can never hear the bass. I find it funny. I wanted to go see this really awesome crust show in Minneapolis, but I couldn't get a ride from my friend Alex and I'm not driving my 12 miles a gallon land yacht down there.

Yes, you're right. They're supposed to state their maturity level but nobody wants to hear, "Uhhhduhhh, I'm thirteen and people say I'm mature for my age. I'm so cool even though I still throw temper tantrums. Uhhhduhh." At least I don't care to hear people bragging like lameasses.

OK ..... like ...... I am starting to wonder here. It seems that hardly ANYONE here was born prior to 19 eighty-something. I know I'll REALLY get razzed for this but... oh never mind. I don't want to start a "forest fire" on here. I guess older folks are a different kind of so called "goth" and it means a totally different thing to people over 35, that's all. Just seems like a whole different thing now days. People think the whole "spookie-kid-shock rock" thing is synonomous with the old school "romantic goth" thing. Well, to ME.... it ain't. BUT.......
That's just my hairbrain opinion out of many.
(I am vintage 1966 by the way, and I believe I mentioned what my age is earlier in this thread.)

I'm 28, but I have the body of an 80 year old and the brains of a 10 year old (at best).

No but I dated someone 12 years older then me for a minute. It was fine. I want to try someone younger then me for fun. Most older men are divorced with kids, which is cool unles they are all bitter and fearful. Im pretty settled in life right now, myself.

Well according to some doctors I have the brain of a 22 year old (I'm only 18), unfortunately that excuse doesn't work at any establishments that carry alcohol. Though it should be noted that there are some disadvantages to a brain that develops too quickly in a way that can be compared to somone getting used to a body going through growth spurts.
