Greetings from the steel city

Greetings, everyone. I'm Jon, and I'm from Pittsburgh, PA.

I'm into industrial, metal and jazz music. I'm a poker player. I'm not the biggest fan of forums in the world, I usually lurk around a lot, but I will post here and there so it's not like you'll never hear from me again.

I'm nice.

I have candy.

"I'm into industrial, metal and jazz music."

Ooh... ...Quite an interesting little mix there^.^

What artists/bands?

Personally I prefer avant-garde or aggrotech and my favourite singer is Diamanda Galás, favourite band, Hocico.

I am quite open-minded about music though, even jazz, though it is not my favourite.

Billie Holiday kicked booty.

You wouldn't by chance have toffee in your assortment of candies would you?

I do have toffee. And I can listen to any Jazz, mostly smooth to take a break from the metal sometimes..

I'm just getting into industrial, so i really can't clamp down to say i have favorites, and when it comes to metal, Anything from Cradle of filth to Haggard to Cannibal Corpse

Ehh... ...Not really my kind. And I hate candy. Well, I get bored with most music. However un-goth this is: I am listening to Gnarls Barkley right now.

I like Jazz too, although on my list of favorites it is behind Goth, Gothrock, Deathrock, Industrial and Darkwave.

John Coltrane, Jean-Luc Ponty, Pat Matheny, Miles Davis (especially early in the morning when it is still dark!), George Duke, Maynard Ferguson, Chick Correa, Flora Purim, Jane Monheit, Stanley Clarke are just a few of my favorites.

And I love Pittsburgh, not just because of the Steelers (the dreaded Yellow Towel!) but because having traveled there, downtown by the fork in the river is full of things to see and places to eat! The trains that climb the mountains at a 45 degree angle are cool too. I can never pronounce "Monongahela" though.

Welcome.
