What can God never see?
Hi! Without taking into account the issue of establishing a stone by God, which he won't be able to pick up, how do you think, may be something in this world, what can God never see?

I think you have to be real to see things.

God probably doesn't see a lot because God is preoccupied with doing... God stuff. Or god just isn't real.

Greetings Alfagreyus. Rather pretentious to jump right in with the heavy philosophical stuff without bothering with the introduction thread, isn't it? Nonetheless, it's an interesting conundrum. Could a omnipotent God create a stone beyond his powers to move? I'd say yes in the sense that it seems to be he could create a universe to function under certain rules and then abide by those rules... But you said you didn't want to get into that. As someone who believes in God I don't think there is anything that is unseen. I think God has all of eternity stretched out before him and spends it contemplating every facet of the infinite universe.

So what's your problem? I was giving my opinion as a believer. Are you insinuating your beliefs are more enlightened then mine? Asshole.

Well, since time is something made up for humans, there is no such thing called time for god, so basically; He sees us, he will see us, he saw us... all in one.
Something like that, not sure if explained it right.

The point was that if you believe in God, you clearly believe in at least one thing that can't be seen.

I got that it was a joke, thanks. I also got the undertone of superiorty, and I was expressing in a succinct way that I found it egotistical and unkind on his part. And that goes for anyone who likes to go around feeling smug and superior whilst unkindly mocking other people's beliefs.

I thought the question was regarding what God can or can not see, not what I can or can not see.

*sigh* I'm not going to be drawn into an is not!!/is too!! debate. Religious beliefs, or lack thereof, are a personal choice resulting from what someones life experiences have been. Finding out which is the right path in these matters can be a personal journey of much thought, reflection, and soul searching. It really pisses me off when someone belittles all that by suggesting that they are misguided somehow for not thinking exactly like themselves. How the fuck can you claim knowledge in these matters with any degree of certainty? All you can say is "this seems right to me". Which leaves no room for mockery or superior attitudes.

Ah well, human nature will ensure there'll be another along any minute

That reminds me of this thing...
God is sitting in his office mucking around and his secretary says over the intercom, "We've got a sneeze coming in on line 37 287 378..." and God says "Oh.. bless him..."
