What is this "outside" place you people keep talking about? I don't think I've ever been there but it sounds like everyone is going there this summer. And what is sunscreen? Are they like curtains? When I want sunscreen I close the drapes.

That actually works pretty well, though I can't say I've reached that level of mind over matter. I will also be going for a far punkier look during the summer, though I was kind of headed there anyway XD

I just go all out grunge and let my style completely down. It's my bloody vacation, and I am lazy.

I don't wear much make-up - usually just liquid eyeliner, which is lucky. I'll probably spend most of the summer in dresses and flip flops to be honest. That's if we get a proper summer this year of course...

Cargo shorts, t-shirts, lots of shade, and sunscreen.
I don't handle heat well at all, so I usually stay inside anyway.

I can handle the heat, it is the damn humidity that gets me. I thought it was humid back home but down here is so much worse, thankfully Jake's parents have a pool that we are welcome to use whenever we want and since it doesn't use chlorine (it uses salt instead) my hair and skin don't get angry with me for swimming (plus if we are there around dinner time his mom makes us dinner so we get a nice home cooked meal). Other than that I tend to stay inside and/or wear a lot of tank tops with flowing, lightweight skirts.

No short-sleeve shirts. I tan very well, and I do not want a farmer's tan this year.

I don't wear short-sleeved shirts. I just bear the heat and dump water over my head.
Alas, I work in a garden centre again this summer, so I have to be outside . At least they provide SPF 45 sunscreen and free water...
And yeah, definitely don't wear mesh shirts in hot weather. I had a fishnet one in the winter, and it was *stunningly* warm (unless there was a breeze).

I'll just wear looser, flowing clothes and put on the typical sunscreen.
Although last July, I think it rained for 20 of the 30 days, something like that.
So I'm not expecting much better this year.

I used to live in Texas for about 6 to 8 months. San Antonio, Texas is a fucking pit of hell I tell you.
But I used to just wear a black button up shirt, black faux velvet pants and blazer, and black shoes. In the beginning it was bloody hot as cinnamon kisses in a burning building. But you'd be surprised as to how the human body will acclimate itself to the weather.

I went to San Antonio once in August, and it wasn't bad compared to Corpus Christi. Corpus Christi wasn't quite as temperature-hot, but it was a damn lot more humid, and one broke out into a sweat in the time it too to get out of the car, straighten one's shorts, and shut the door.
One would think that *weather men* and *climatologists* would be smarter than to schedule a *weather* and *climatology* conference in San Antonio in August...

Try to snap up some MAC powder, Neutrogena's Dry-Touch sunscreen, customize me an all weather parasol. And it'll be short skirts, shorts, tank tops and my new pedal pushers and candy patterned slip-ons.

Well, since it is predicted to snow tonight, I don't think I'll be changing much. Maybe be adding some clothing. Lately it has been the heavy leather jacket, and chaps. Yes, chaps. I went home and picked up my motorcycle, so I have been riding everywhere.

SNOW?! In June? Gosh, that's even worse than Norway, and I'm just under the Polar Circle... *shocked*

I'm a couple hours away from San Antonio. I believe it got to 99 today. But after living in the Mojave for a couple years, and living in, yes exactly, the pit of hell for four, I've gotten mostly used to it. Doesn't mean that I'm not sweating like a pig when my friend's band gets the bright idea to hold concerts in the freaking summer, but it does help a bit to have been used to it.
I even wore my boots the other day and was mostly fine.

I've lived in SA all my life (however short that may be), and at least its more of a dry heat compared to some other places in Texas like Houston and Corpus Christi. I think it might have gotten to 99 today, right now its 83 and its already 11:30.......

Well I've got my tan, teehee Although I got it in two days after 5 years of not going on holiday then I ended up staying in for the rest of the holiday trying to avoid the sun at all costs. The pain! Oh the pain! sun burn is not my friend v_V So yea that kinda taught me a lesson. I'll stick to the shade and dark corners from now on.
My clothes are mostly the same as I normally wear. Ok I admit I'm starting to get board of black. It's so hard to find anything nice to wear when its so hot outside. So I've started wearing green to go with my red hair. And also different color vests with long black shorts and black skater trainers.
That's how I'm going to get by in the summer heat. ^_^

Yeah, in Tacoma it's been cool and rainy all June, except for like one day.
Fuck, I miss that.
Southern California's kind of hotter. I packed a bunch of t-shirts for the occasion, but I'll be avoiding the outside whenever possible. And I'm making sure to always be within arm's reach of something cool to drink x_x

Freckle within 15 minutes? I'll burn within 15 minutes.
Even if I whack on Spf 30 or 45, a couple of hours outside in even the British sun and I'm burnt. I managed to ge tit so bad once I couldn't move my arms because the burnt skin was just so painful.
So my summer will be ignoring the heat and staying inside whenever possible
