Fashion DIY tips and gratuitous plugs. And hair. Hair! Flow it, show it. Wait...no. That's some hippie musical. Nevermind. |

i personally like the all white look. i used to have a really pretty, long white dress that i wore with some white slippers. im naturally really dark, so my skin glowed. i used dark red lipstick and white eye shadow. all of jewelery is bright silver. even my mom said i looked pretty. lol. she never says that.

I imagine someone wearing an all white outfit, like a beautiful white dress and white accesoreis and makeup and everything... I mean very light white hair too, and light shimmery white makeup on their skin. I don't think the image I have in my head of this would be very easy to pull of in the real world, though!
In the real world, I don't wear white very well because I'm a little chubby and that wouldn't look good. Plus, my skin would not appear pale anymore, but the peachy colour that it is... but, I think if someone tried very hard then they could pull it off.

After a long time I'm back again in this thread... and I thought I could post some of my white outfits I've worn in the meantime.
But I'm not able to post any URLs.
I uploaded the pics to the Flickr account "aidennqueen" if anyone wants to have a look.

I think that would be very interesting.
I wouldn't try it myself though: I'm naturally very pale and when I wear all white, I look like a ghost.

I've seen Goths that want to wear all white, it doesn't work. It seems like it would, but no. They really stand out though. There is nothing wrong with wearing a white shirt. That looks good, but all white comes across weird.

i honestly prefer black over white
but...
i love what Andi is wearing in the videos of Sebastiane and Oh Funny Man at the Riverside on YouTube
id wear that if i had it, but if i made it myself, id use black (do like the negative of Andi's)
and i made myself a white Joy Division t shirt, love it

Again, I've tried the "all white" thing last winter.
For me it works just fine ^^
Still it's nothing for every day...

Wow, you're just gorgeous. I don't think any clothing you wore would make a difference, well, except a lack of them.

I don't think that I could ever pull it off, as it would be highly unflattering to my complexion.

Thank you!
Well of course I need very bright make-up for that, or it would lose its effect...
It is a lot of work to make it all look good together, and I wouldn't want to do that every day.
I like to change between lots of styles anyway...

I wear a lot of white in summer, and of course white goes very well with black. I've got quite a nice white lace dress I got recently as well as an white vest top with a Gothic style fairy on it. I also wear skirts which are long and pretty typically goth but in white or off white colours.
In the winter I have quite a few white shirt type things, one is Victorian looking and one kind of pirate style.

Okay. Just don't decide to be innovative and end up cliche by wearing your martial arts outfit to the club. There's always somone, though the people change the clothes remain the same.

No, depending on the time and place it would work wonderfully and for an editorial photograph like that it looks lovely.

I think I've said this before.... wearing a wedding dress in public looks needy like the gal in Great Expectations. Just eerie. No good message about the wearer.

I wore a very similar dress to high tea before (though my dress was a light pink not white), it was a formal high tea so all of the women were in gowns and while mine was a bit unusual it still worked. As I said it would be very dependent on the situation and she was wearing it for a editorial style photo which is something that the dress and makeup work wonderfully for.

Sounds interesting. I do like the lighter makeup. It can be very attractive.

It was rather fun I also wore the same dress to the last day of cotillion, though I didn't wear the vale that time, I'm rather sad that the dress doesn't fit anymore, oh well one of these days I'll find the time and energy to make a new one.

My boyfriends uncle lost his mind and started wearing all white because he thought it reflected the governments brain washing waves or something. He even had a white pager!

Wear whatever colour you like! I think pink is a rather wonderful, perky colour!
As an old school Goth, what one might call a Casual Goth, I can assure you all that there is more to Goth than the colour of your clothes. I know a Goth with red hair and darkish red clothing, but she is all Goth.
To me, Goth is an attitude and lifestyle, more than just about colour and clothes.
So wear pink, if you like! Black is so 1980s...LOL!

Ah well, I'd better take off my wedding dress then! But may I please keep the silk panties on?
