I miss the freedom. As a teenager I have to live up to certain expectations, such as being well-mannered and polite--in other words, I must constantly spit out euphemism after euphemism, and never actually say what I feel like for fear of being thought of as immature. In my opinion, there's nothing immature about caring for yourself enough not to lie to everyone, but then again, that's just my opinion.

I find this rather amusing. No one is ever required to be polite and well-mannered, it's just a good idea a lot of the time. Smoothes the way a little I find. Nevertheless, if you want to say fuck, say it.

I like you. You seem nice, and you express yourself in a clearly understandable way. Welcome to the (dysfunctional) family Amber, I look forward to reading more of your posts.

No, as I am not experiencing major failure in several parts of my brain.

In light of how vocal JCC is about his dislike of people who use their young age as an excuse for poor taste or general idiocy, I get the feeling Apathy is taking the piss. Could be wrong, but the wink definitely gave me that impression.

Haha, I never intended to use my young age as an excuse for poor taste or general idiocy; I meant it in a vaguely tongue-in-cheek way. I highly doubt my annoying penchant for bad films will change with age. Nevertheless, I don't quite understand what would be wrong with using young age as an excuse for bad taste. I know a fair few intelligent individuals of my own age whose taste, because of their lack of maturity and influence by the current media--in other words, because they are the age they are--is completely deplorable, actually.

Oh, I'm not taking a swipe - I don't think you seem like an idiot. But in my fairly short time on the site, I've come to know two things: JCC is extremely intelligent for his age and dislikes it when people use age as an excuse for anything. Also, Apathy's Child can be an abrasive asshole... and I mean that in the nicest possible way.

Thanks, and it was no problem. I have a friend who is completely obsessed with--no, CONSUMED by--melodeath and such, and almost every other day he has discovered The Best Band Ever That I Must Listen To Because It Will Make Me Look Like An Elite Metalhead. *shrug*

Int'resting. Most metal fans I know have a tendency to believe that their music is the only genre worth listening to.

Lol I don't really consider myself a metalhead anymore. I know what you, it gets really annoying when someone calls me a poser just because I like Slipknot.
