Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

I just uploaded Cinema Strange's self-titled, as well as "First Dust" by Beyond the Wall of Sleep, which has completely blown me away as of late.

I really liked that Brotherhood of Pagans Album. How would I support the artist? I don't see the CD on Amazon, nor other music sites.

You might want to check up on the CS link, it's a little tricky at first.

I really loved Brotherhood of Pagans and Human Drama. I'm going to have to hunt those albums down and buy them when I get the cash. Thanks so much, Draconysius.

Here's my review of "Eyelash". You can download the album here.
Big Electric Cat is one of those bands that emerged in the early nineties to ride goth's third wave, which took the sound of the eighties and updated it. Many goth bands attempted to darken the sound and aesthetic. Big Electric Cat may not write about vampires, and they may not strike silly poses in graveyards whilst teasing their exploded hair, but this band is truly a standout amongst its brethren. Big Electric Cat is one of those very few bands that can actually move me. Their music can be powerful and gripping, and this could not be demonstrated any better than with the song "Eyelash". It's one of the most beautifully melancholy songs I've ever heard, and one any goth band would be damned proud of laying down. Make no mistake though, the rest of the album is well worth hearing as well. Songs like the dreamy closer "Transience" and the opener "My Last Breath" are what keep this album on my playlist.
