I'm having trouble drawing hips((they come out to thin, make my chicks look anorexic)) arms (( Namely the forearm, it's to thin, and the upper arm looks a bit fat coming out of the shoulder which looks fat itself.)) , and breasts ((You can drop the P bomb all you want, but fact remains that it's always good to know how to draw a nice pair of tits... unless you're a prude and just want all the chicks in big sweatshirts.)). Know any good tutorials for these? I'm using one of those Christopher Hart how to draw manga books ((The one for beginners.))

Mr Duane, I would recommend you to keep practicing. I would also suggest on going out and look at girls and draw them. If there is a girl posing for you, then thats great. That will help you getting the distances right and not turn your drawings into Hentai.

Well, my manga is going have some elements of Hentai. Mostly, it will be Romance, Harem, with a bit of adventure thrown in.

Type ' [body part] tutorial' into the search box and you can find some really helpful submissions. A good way to practice is to find works of artist you admire and try to redraw their pictures you like best. Adam Hughes has an incredible nack for drop dead gorgeous figures.

Honestly, the best way to draw bodies is to looks up some stuff on anatomy and the skeletal system. Once you get a better grasp on what's going on under the skin it's going to be much easier for yourself. Alot of those 'How To Draw Manga' books often break the body down into lines and shapes, and just having a little knowledge on the body makes it a little bit more understandable as to how wide or long certain areas are, how it's all connecting and so on.

Also as mentioned, go out and draw actual people (and personally I wouldn't limit yourself with what kind of people you draw, it's better to try all sorts really). If you're really up for it maybe find a life drawing class or something.

When you are confident with proportions and structure, it comes much more naturally to draw and create bodies of your own ideal. I, myself never actually learned how to draw bodies that way, but I kind of wish I had taken up realistic drawing more seriously when I was younger, as I've pigeon-holed myself into a particular style which isn't too flexible.

But anyway, I hope that helps. Good luck with it all.

Try this it may help or most likely not http://www.howtodrawmanga.com/howtod...oda.html#table

Photomanipulation. I consider it artwork 'cause it's what I do as well. Haha, those are pretty cool.

I can't get the proportions right... also chick legs usually end up looking really muscly.

Oh, check out a place called Manga Tutorials Forum, if you have the time.

So what do you fellows think of this?

http://amadeusalmost.deviantart.com/...-TOP-135221579

It is a picture I edited of Top from the Korean Boy Band/ Hip Hop Group, Big Bang. I took a picture of him, traced it, and colored it on Opencanvas 1.1. It took me about 4 hours to finish.

I could have sketched it myself instead of just tracing it on the coloring program, but it would have just ended up the same (perhaps slightly different)
and would have consumed more unnecessary time.

All I'll say is work on your coloring. Shading moreso, he looks a bit flat. But don't let up, the best thing for any artist is to keep drawing/creating.

I for one can attest to a simple fact that no one can really get around.

No matter what most of the stuff you produce ends up being complete crap, but it's out of that crap that you hone your skill and produce gems every so often. draw as much as possible and keep learning. And you should sketch it instead of tracing, you might as well get better at freehanding proportions, ya know.

Know any good body tutorials? The whole nine yards sideways, front, back, 3/4's... also if you know one that shows you how to draw people in a crouching position, and the like that'd be cool.
