Three months isn't actually that much time considering most nature excursions. I've only been on one and it took up 8 months. It takes absolutely no money to live off the land. You can live off a bag of rice and a bag of beans for a long time. Tents and sleeping bags are cheap as hell. Absolutely nothing to brag about.
I do recommend everyone give it a shot. Completely ridiculous to blow it out of proportion though. As if its some kind of luxury made possible by his 'success'. Total lie. He's just a bum that can't afford a real vacation.
