I love this game. I still need to finish it even though I caped at level 30 month and months ago. And Butcher Pete is prolly my favorite song in the whole soundtrack. That and the song about the man who lives in the jungle and doesn't understand civilized people and there ways. Not sure what that one is called but I love it.

Finished it a few days ago, got all the 360 achievements. I think it's probably my favourite out of every game I've played.

I've bought all of the expansions save for Mothership Zeta. I'm glad that Broken Steel raised the level cap, but some of the perks are cheesy as hell, and the fact that my character spiked the water supply with FEV seems to have done NOTHING except leaving him unable to drink filtered water.

The Pitt was fun and stylistically cool, but I really disliked Operation Anchorage. My favorite is Point Lookout. The enemies are a bit too strong, I think, which leaves most of the original weapons ineffective, but I love the feel of the place.

The cannibal perk is amusing, but not particularly useful. It provides some interesting dialogue options, like if you've already got it when you run across "The Family" or the residents of the small town of inbreds.

Yah I haven't used it personally because I wanted to be a saint and keep my karma good...

I wouldn't bother with Mothership Zeta, it has very strong enemies like Point Lookout and a bunch of alien weapons that outperform most others. The holotapes that usually add a bit to the story are sometimes kind of amusing but they're all pretty much the same and the quests aren't that interesting. Plus most of the ship is locked off once you finish.

Operation Anchorage isn't that great either but I liked that sneaking worked out better than in the rest of Fallout, and the reward for finishing OA is awesome.

I also think the level 30 cap should have been in the game from the beginning so Point Lookout is my favourite too.

You're right about that. I dig the trench knife and the electrified sword. The power armor is cool too, but it's mostly the styling of the knuckleduster knife that I like.

On a similar note, my favorite weapons at this particular moment are the Shishkebab, the trench knife, and the plasma pistol. They're not the best weapons in the game, but, again, their style and atmosphere gets me. I'm all about style, apparently.

I also like the scoped .44 revolver. A nice nod to Road Warrior.

I see five expansions available through the PlayStation Store at only $9.99 each, so I'll probably get all of them as I work through this thing. Based on comments here it looks like Point Lookout and Broken Steel are the first ones to get, followed by The Pitt, Operation: Anchorage and Mothership Zeta.

So I've just got out of the vault, did some dumb things and explored Megaton. I was chatting on Facebook a bit about the quest I am currently on and someone suggested if all else fails I should just use the fatboy. I'm trying to play this without resorting to a players guide, but I can't help the idiotic feeling that I've missed something obvious. If someone can tell me with giving me too much grief over it: what is a fatboy? Thank you.

By the way, this game ROCKS SO HARD!!!

A Fatman is a portable nuke launcher. Besides, the game is very much like Oblivion in where it doesn't exactly matter how you play it. Refer to your pip-boy if you're lost or confused and watch that compass on your lower left screen.

Soon as you can, small guns skill for some reason has a weird gravitational force, so max that out, get a chinese assault rifle and an SMG with a combat shotgun as your secondary weapon choice. You'll be pretty unstoppable.

Max Sneak, Lockpick, Medicine, Smallguns, and attempt to max out repair or science. This is a very useful build.

Also, Luck is very important, have a high luck. Charisma is absolute shit. Take all the points away from it and make the rest of your SPECIAL better.

Stealth build:

Focus on maxing Perception, Agility, Luck, and Intelligence as high as you can get them.
