I haven't really listened to them.
Before i do, i wanted to know what you think their best songs are.

I think "Time" is their best, absolutely sublime.

Get Dark Side of the Moon. It's the only one worth listening to.

If you're a closed-minded pop-only person, sure.
I think their best song is "Careful With That Axe, Eugene".

Shouldn't you be off spamming the boards with tits, hacking Myspace and making fake blogs on behalf of people no one actually gives a shit about? I know that leaves little time for pretending you know dick about music, but judging by this quote that's a GOOD THING.

No. Because if I were "spamming" it with tits, I wouldn't be stopping for chit-chat, now would I? If one posts a thread flaming another member, I may gladly post tits, as tits have more intellectual value and beauty than said thread. I can only hope you're being sarcastic on the "hacking" bit. God forbid anyone comes here who's stupid enough to take that garbage seriously.

Hacker, I don't know. I've never personally requireded a website to aid my social networking.

But if anyone who rates DSotM is a "closed-minded pop only person", I WOULD surmise that you're a hack. Particularly given the song you just cited as THA BESTEST PF SONG EVER.

"Rates"? What the hell do you mean by that? I never once called it a bad album, if that's what you're implying. You said it was their only one worth listening to. It's the 6th best selling album in the fucking world, and the one most people know Pink Floyd for. It's not their best material. It's just their most popular product.

"Double posting" is posting the same thing twice.

Quit trying to pretend you didn't imply that it's popular, ergo, bad, because you didn't state one other thing that's wrong with it.

Or it can mean posting 2 in a row on the same subject. In your case, on the same fucking post. Congratulations!

Come on guys... It's not something worth the fight. Everyone has their opinion on what's best by an artist.

I never said there was anything wrong with it. What's wrong is your attitude towards it as their only good album. Pink Floyd's a pretty fucking popular band, and if I had said DSoTM was bad merely for being popular, I'd also be dissing most of their stuff.

It IS their only consistently good album. There are a few good songs which aren't on it (some better than several of the songs that are, granted), but it's their only good album as a whole.

No it's not. But, hey. I'm a Pink Floyd fan, so I think all of their albums were wholly great. Not that I HAVE to, being a Pink Floyd fan, I just do.

Some of my favorite PF songs are, in no particular order:
Comfortably Numb
Breathe
Time
Young Lust
Another Brick in the Wall Part 1, Part 2, Part 3
Wish You Were Here
The Dogs of War
Learning to Fly
Money
Shine on You Crazy Diamond

There are more but at the moment these are the ones that popped into my head.

As a Pink Floyd fan, you have to, else your world will dissolve.

I think Animals is their best album. Wish You Were Here is also amazing. You don't want to just listen to them for a single song. Their albums are all journeys that should be experienced as a whole.

I listened to about half of what's recommended here...
I don't like them.
I like the song Comfortably Numb though.

Exactly.

At least you found one song that you liked, Geo. If you want to hear more check out Dizzler.com/Pink_Floyd. Just pick a few random songs.

Perhaps you'd like some Syd Era. Try "See Emily Play" and "Arnold Layne".

Us and Them - sit comfortably where you can watch the sunset in the evening when you play it. Awesome. And also The Great Gig in the Sky.
