Boots

I am trying to find somewhere to buy some new Gripfast boots. I hate buying them off the Internet and lately finding sizes has been difficult. I lived in Dallas before and getting the pair I had was easy. I am in Oklahoma now and lets just say the redneck reunion here doesnt even know how to spell Gripfast.

The Internet might be your only choice. You could always consider trying another brand or having a shop specialorder them for you.

Since they arent the latest and greatest in fashion anymore not a lot of people make them in that style other than DM. Since they went with having their boots made in Asia they just arent the same anymore. I have checked a lot of the sites I know of for boots but they are all showing only like one or two sizes available. Any suggestions?

I would try out some Nana pole walkers. They're available at your local HT, probably. They're very comfortable lace-ups with a zip on the side for easy access (adjustable via the laces). They look sort-of-similar.

You could always buy a second-hand pair of Doc Martens that were made in England.

I love my Doc's ^.^
To be honest I'm not sure if they are Asian or English made. Is there a way to check?

Do the soles have a 'Made In England' stamp on them?

Just has "The ORIGINAL" and a bunch of other stuff. No made in England. I do remember someone telling me they were English made.
They're still comfortable and look rather pretty.

On the tongue label? Thats where it says it on mine. The 'vintage' collection is still made here in the uk, only I can't afford or justify £125 for the ones I want :o(

I spent $189 (AUD) but the tag said $210. I sure as hell hope they're genuine.

EDIT: Shit... "Made In China". /cry

I have French engineers/firemen's boots. I love them. They're fireproof up to 400°C and waterproof up to an inch under the brim.

Mine look a LOT better than that. A little bit of leather is scuffed, here and there but eh. I'll polish them again soon.
