I thought I'd introduce myself before getting into this forum (what a concept!)

1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job) Annoy people, make jokes

2. Where are you from? Wisconsin, the land of cheese

3. Who is your favorite author? I don't have one.

4. What are your favorite films? dunno about that one

5. What music do you want played at your wedding? I don't know if my girlfriend and I will get married, but we've become quite committed to each other anyway

6. At your funeral? Don't know yet.

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die? Of old age, with Shadow girl by my side.

8. What kind of casket would you want? Don't know...

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit? Anything black

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid? Nothing! I hated it! It was no fun

11. What's your favorite band? I have too many to list off the top of my head

12. What kind of education do you have? Some college, in the wrong major (was forced into Computer Hardware--tried to rebel with no luck and ended up almost getting kicked out of the house for it)

What is/was/will be your major? I want to be an interpreter, and if I am an interpreter for deaf people, I will be REQUIRED to wear black!

13. Why did you join? My girlfriend, Shadow girl, referred me. My gothic friends and my girlfriend all say I could be considered an undercover goth since I have the personality but not the look usually. Besides, requiring everyone to dress a certain way would be very shallow.

14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender? I'm male, but my personality is closer to the female end of the gender role spectrum.

I'm also asexual, Christian, vegetarian, and have Asperger's and ADHD.

My username comes from my operating system. It is a condensed form of "GNU/Linux man". I use Fedora 6 for those interested. I use it mainly for political reasons--I strongly DESPISE Microsoft for their sleazy business practices. And I believe software should be free. I'm not much of a programmer, though the idiots in vocational rehab don't seem to care... ugh. I just want this to be fun, not to make it my entire life....

I have art on http://gnulinuxman.deviantart.com since I do vector graphics in Inkscape, a free/open-source replacement for Adobe Illustrator.

My favorite cartoon character is pictured in my avatar. Sam Manson is like the only real goth on TV these days...I'm so sick of those poseurs they usually show on TV. *sigh*

That should just about cover it.

Yes, Linux is the best OS I've ever used, and I like getting old computers and wiping that horrible Redmond OS from them and installing Linux.

I am a computer geek, but it is something I want to keep as a hobby, not a full-blown job, since I would be required to keep Windows systems from crashing--not my idea of fun. And since I know English, Spanish, and American Sign Language, interpreter is a good choice for me.

Ha. I'm exactly the opposite. I absolutely despise Linux. When I moded my Xbox I installed linux on it, the worst choice I've ever made in my life.
