Cool Play Dead

I'm sorry, I just HAD to start up a thread for one of my favorite goth bands of all time. I find their music a lot more danceable than most goth, especially in songs like "Propaganda". "the First Flower" is an absolutely perfect debut, and the bonus tracks just as good. I can't get enough of this band. Discuss the band, favorite songs or albums, and what sound similar to them.
Speaking of which, I've found Nosferatu sound similar to them sometimes. There's another great band that needs a thread.

I can't say I've listened to them. Can you post a song clip?

Downloaded "First Flower" earlier today, but my brain's not functioning right enough to really give it a proper go.

Yeah, I just downloaded their album a few days ago.
I don't know why I'd never previously heard of this band, other than that I'm not cool and god doesn't want me to have good music.

I've liked them for a while.

Now I'm listening to First Flower and I like them even more.

Definitely danceable, and I very much appreciate danceability.

Yes indeed! Some goth bands make you want to sway in the moonlight with a frowny face, but this one makes you want to flat out dance! With a clove between your lips. <.<

I've downloaded the album and listened to it a couple times. It's not bad at all. I'd like to hear more. Thank you.

I was only ever fortunate enough to hear "Propaganda", but it's a great song.

Well, I'm listening to First Flower for the first time. I like them so far.

It just leaves me to notice something though.

Have you guys noticed that a lot of goth bands sounds SLIGHTLY like The Doors or am I just imagining things?

No, I haven't noticed that. But then again, I don't listen to The Doors, so...

Some of them do. The Doors are often credited with being influential to goth.
